Called the "Soutien Collar," here in Japan, the name of the "Bal Collar Coat" comes from a place name in Inverness, Scotland. The key feature of this coat is a wraparound silhouette that covers your body. It also offers the functional properties of rainwear thanks to its sloping A-line (an A-shape that spreads toward the hem) that channels away raindrops. Current commercially available products simply don’t offer this kind of spacious form, but rather a more fashion-conscious tight fit.
